Hushdoc

Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026

The short version. Your documents, the text recognized in them and your signatures never leave your iPhone. Hushdoc has no accounts and no servers that receive your content. The only data that leaves the device is anonymous usage counts, which you can turn off, and the purchase information Apple needs to sell you Hushdoc Pro.

This policy explains how the Hushdoc iPhone app ("Hushdoc", "the app") and this website handle information. Hushdoc is made by Trelab Studio ("we", "us"). Questions: hello@trelabstudio.com.

1. Your documents stay on your device

Scanned pages, imported photos, recognized text (OCR), signatures, annotations, folders and document names are created, processed and stored only on your iPhone, in the app's private storage. Text recognition runs on the device using Apple's Vision framework. We cannot see, access or recover this content, and we do not send it anywhere.

Your iPhone's own backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) include Hushdoc's data, the same as for other apps. Those backups are governed by your settings and Apple's privacy policy, not by us. When you share or export a document, it goes only where you send it.

2. Device permissions

3. Anonymous usage analytics

To learn which features are used, Hushdoc may send anonymous usage signals through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. A signal names an action, for example "a PDF was shared" or "text recognition finished", and comes with technical details: app version, iOS version, device model and language. Each install is identified only by a random identifier that is hashed before it leaves the device. It is not linked to your name, Apple ID, email or any other identity.

Signals never contain document content, recognized text, file names or signatures. We use them only to improve the app. They are not used for advertising and not shared with data brokers. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Share anonymous usage.

4. Purchases

Hushdoc Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. Apple tells the app whether you have an active purchase, so it can unlock Pro features.

To check subscription status, the app may use RevenueCat. RevenueCat then receives your App Store purchase receipts and a random app user identifier. That identifier is not linked to your identity, and we do not give RevenueCat your name or email.

6. Summary of data that leaves your device

7. Email to support

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write or attach. We use it only to answer you and delete it when it is no longer needed. Please don't send documents with personal information.

8. This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party resources. Visits over HTTPS are not logged. Plain-HTTP requests, which are only redirected to HTTPS, can appear in our server logs with the requesting IP address. We use those logs only to keep the server secure.

9. Retention and deletion

Your documents remain on your device until you delete them or delete the app. Anonymous usage signals are kept in aggregate by TelemetryDeck. Because they are not linked to you, we cannot pick out or delete one person's signals.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example in the EU, the UK or California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. We hold almost no data about you. To ask about anything we might hold, such as support emails, write to hello@trelabstudio.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Children

Hushdoc is a general-purpose utility, not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. If a change means more data leaves your device, we will say so in the app's release notes before it takes effect.
