Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Hushdoc iPhone app ("Hushdoc", "the app"), made by Trelab Studio ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Hushdoc, you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). If these terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA applies.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use Hushdoc on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's usage rules. You may not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.

2. Your content

Everything you scan, import, sign or write in Hushdoc belongs to you and stays on your device. We have no access to it. You are responsible for keeping your own backups, for example through iCloud Backup. If you delete the app or lose your device without a backup, your documents cannot be recovered by us.

Only scan and share documents you have the right to use.

3. Hushdoc Pro

Scanning, editing and exporting are free. Hushdoc Pro unlocks extra features: unlimited text recognition, search inside document text, multiple signatures, markup and app lock. Pro is offered as:

• a monthly auto-renewing subscription;
• a yearly auto-renewing subscription, which may start with a free trial for eligible new subscribers;
• a one-time lifetime purchase.

Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency.

4. Subscriptions, trials and cancellation

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
• A subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• If you cancel during a free trial, you are not charged. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.

5. Signatures

Hushdoc places an image of your handwritten signature on a page. It is not a certified or qualified electronic signature. You are responsible for checking whether such a signature is accepted for your purpose.

6. Text recognition

Text recognition is automatic and can contain mistakes. Check important text, numbers and amounts against the original.

7. No warranty

Hushdoc is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those in the Standard EULA, and we do not guarantee that the app is error-free or will meet every need.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Hushdoc. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Hushdoc Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms. If we make a material change, we will update this page and the effective date above. You can stop using Hushdoc at any time by deleting it. Cancel any subscription separately as described above.
